Shelter Structures Projects

Contrack Watts Project

The Navy needs to transition its maritime patrol reconnaissance aircraft from a P-3 aircraft to the newer P-8A aircraft, but in order to do so, they need help from Shelter Structures.

To support the integration of the P-8A, there are a number of new facilities that had to be constructed. One facility is the hangar at the Isa Air Base in Bahrain. The hangar is designed to provide a sheltered space with maintenance support spaces.

The fabric hangar needs to be sustainable, quick to erect, and cost effective while still meeting the strict Military safety standards. The hangar will also be able to accommodate all support facilities, including maintenance, administrative office, supply and equipment storage. A three part Megadoor Hangar Door system will accommodate the aircraft. We are proud to be a part of the US Military’s efforts overseas.
