Portable/Mobile Fabric Shelters

A portable shelter is a building designed and built to be movable rather than permanently located. Portable buildings are often used temporarily and taken away later.

Temporary portable shelters can be easily installed and just as easily collapsed upon completion of your project. Their portable qualities make our shelters very convenient and cost-effective. You don’t want to spend the money to construct a conventional building because a temporary structure may be the perfect alternative.

Our custom-designed temporary portable shelters and portable structures give you a fast, low-cost solution. We provide quick delivery, and complete installation in just a few days. Because of their modular construction, you can easily expand or relocate your portable building, shelter or structure when desired.

Fabric structures range in size from 60′ to 130′ wide, up to 100′ high and can be any length. Their modular construction means you always increase or decrease size should your application change.

Mobile shelters are ideal as portable fabric buildings. They can be mounted either on embedded track, swivel wheels, or on a traction drive system that can be operated by remote control. They can also “telescope” to maximize limited space. Surface conditions and the size of the shelter will determine which system is the best application for your project.

Common uses: Mobile shelters have been used for many years in marine, quarry, construction, and any application where mobility is either required or will save you money. Shelter Structures will work with you to determine the best solution for your portable fabric buildings needs.

All Shelter Structures are built to last, with galvanized steel frames and coated polyester-reinforced PVC membranes. They can be outfitted with any commercially available accessories you may need, including lighting, HVAC and doors (personnel, roll-up, pivoting and more):

  • A modular design that allows you to expand and subdivide structures into multiple units and easily relocate them as your needs change.

  • Unobstructed clear span space, with no columns or internal supports.

  • Mobility to provide clear access to the interior; most shelters can be designed to be moved on wheels or track systems, or via crane.

  • Eco-friendly construction, with recycled steel and a small carbon footprint created during manufacturing, transportation and installation.

  • Reduced energy use in shelters utilizing translucent fabric.

  • Optional hard sides for locations where security is a concern or for operations that require protection for the fabric.

All Shelter Structures have a service life of 15-25 years while the galvanized frames have a service life of 50 years. All shelters comply with local building codes, and meet all of the environmental requirements at your specific site.
