DLA Distribution – Red River Project

When the Defense Logistics Agency needed a durable, inexpensive modular fabric warehouse, they contacted Shelter Structures for some help. Located in Red River, Texas, the DLA needed a warehouse that could be put together quickly on existing hard surface areas, and provide a 20-year operational use period.

Shelter Structures came through with two fabric warehouses. One warehouse is 70’ wide by 225’ long and the other is 70’ wide by 125’ long. They both include 12’ by 12’ overhead doors, two personnel doors, ventilation systems, and T-5 Lighting packages.

The warehouses need to be able to withstand wind speeds exceeding 115 mph, and accommodate insulation and sprinkler systems, so they were constructed with G15 hot dipped galvanized steel frames. The exterior fabric membrane is made with Shelter Rite PVC coated fabric, which provides warranted durability, UV protection, and cost effectiveness.
