The Need

The USAF needed a fabric building to protect equipment and aviation personnel at Cannon AFB in New Mexico from the extreme heat and UV conditions of the American Southwest.

The Intention

The 70’ by 70’ structure had to be durable, quick to erect, and inexpensive while meeting strict Military safety standards. The fabric shade shelter was constructed using a galvanized MQ frame and is designed to resist winds exceeding 110 mph. The exterior fabric membrane is a 28 oz. /sq. yd. Shelter-Rite PVC coated fabric. Shelter-Rite fabric, manufactured in the USA, provides warranted durability, UV protection, and cost-effectiveness.
